this week’s music monday brings us to the small college town of bloomington, illinois where harps of tartarus call home. harps of tartarus play epic, beautiful at times, angular, indie rock. their sound is absolutely crushing live and is captured rather well on their record. this write up is well overdue of account of their ep coming out over a year ago. i just picked it up last week when one of my band’s played with them here in champaign. it’s phenomenal. the riffs are fucking so spot on. i’m so glad this band is doing things again. the song i posted is called “man, that light is really bright” and it comes off their ep better than better than ezra, which is aptly titled. i couldn’t find a place to order the ep online, but i did find a place where you can name your price for a digital download of the ep. you can get it at their bandcamp.
