These guys used to live in a basement show space with the Shrk Wk dudes. They straddle the line between clean, turn-on-a-dime math-rock-meets-bungle style and a totally sloppy, wacked out, playing-house-shows-every-day approach. Awesome melodies, really cool compositions that go through a lot of different sections and styles and build, but also synth parts that are from another planet and moments of total dissonance / freeJAZZ.
I’d suggest starting with the second track, House Cat Speakeasy, it’s brilliant.
Oh man, I remember these guys. They formed in St. Pete and I got to see them a few times before they left for Rhode Island.
